Vidarbha opener Aman Mokhade has equalled the record for the quickest to reach 1000 runs in List A cricket, achieving the milestone in just 16 innings. The 24-year-old is the fastest Indian to reach 1000 List A runs, surpassing Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Mukund, who took 17 innings each. Mokhade accomplished this feat against Karnataka in the semi-final of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring a brilliant 138 off 122 to guide Vidarbha to a comfortable six-wicket victory at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
Aman Mokhade’s Rise Across Formats
Mokhade’s form this season has been exceptional. After debuting in 2022-23, he has firmly established himself, scoring 577 runs in seven innings at an average of 96.16 in the first leg of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy, including three centuries and a fifty. He was also Vidarbha's top scorer in the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before a stellar Vijay Hazare campaign.
Consistent Dominance in Vijay Hazare Trophy
Aman Mokhade has scored 781 runs in nine innings at an average of 97.62, including five centuries and a fifty, making him the tournament’s leading run-scorer. He began the tournament with 110 against Bengal, followed by 82 and 139 against Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir. Despite a minor setback against Chandigarh, Mokhade bounced back with centuries against Baroda and Uttar Pradesh. His semi-final hundred has propelled Vidarbha closer to a maiden Vijay Hazare title.
Record-Breaking Milestone
By reaching 1000 List A runs in 16 innings, Aman Mokhade has equalled Graeme Pollock’s record for the fastest to this landmark. His performance demonstrates remarkable consistency and dominance, highlighting his rise from domestic stalwart to one of India’s most promising young batters in white-ball cricket.
