The model stated that her husband and in-laws insisted her family provide a Honda City car and ₹10 lakh as dowry. In the Amit Mishra dowry case, the complainant also alleged that Mishra frequently assaulted her while intoxicated and verbally abused her. She further claimed that the cricketer took control of the income she earned from modelling assignments. The Amit Mishra dowry case also includes accusations that she was sometimes left without food and threatened with divorce.

The Amit Mishra dowry case marks the third legal proceeding initiated by the complainant. Earlier in April 2025, she filed a domestic violence case and later sought monthly maintenance of ₹50,000 along with ₹1 crore compensation. The Amit Mishra dowry case is now expected to undergo a preliminary hearing in court as legal proceedings move forward.
