Bangladesh Adviser claims regarding security concerns at the upcoming global event have been firmly rejected after the International Cricket Council issued a clear clarification on the matter. The ICC stated that the overall security assessment for the T20 World Cup remains unchanged, with risk levels rated low to moderate. According to the governing body, no specific or direct threats were identified for any participating teams, contradicting statements attributed to the Bangladesh Adviser during a press briefing.

During the briefing, the Bangladesh Adviser claimed the ICC had highlighted multiple scenarios that could increase security risks, including the participation of Mustafizur Rahman, public display of Bangladesh jerseys, and the country’s election timeline. These assertions quickly drew attention due to their specificity and broader political undertones.
