Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave strong support with an explosive half century, smashing 52 runs from just 30 balls. His aggressive approach increased the run rate quickly and put pressure on the Zimbabwe U-19 bowlers, helping India U-19 build a massive total.\

Late surge lifts the total 

Khilan Patel made a big impact towards the end of the innings, adding valuable runs in the final overs. He finished with the highest strike rate of the match at an impressive 250, highlighting his excellent finishing skills and ability to score quickly when it mattered most.

Commanding first-innings performance

India U-19 added to these significant performances by making an overpowering 352 runs total guaranteeing them a good standing in the match.

Zimbabwe’s bowling effort 

In response, Zimbabwe U-19 bowlers had a challenging outing, but Tatenda Fortune Chimugoro stood out as the most effective bowler for his side. He picked up three important wickets, removing key Indian batters including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Ayush Mhatre, and Vedant Alpeshkumar Trivedi. His spell helped Zimbabwe U-19 regain some control during crucial phases of the innings.

Chase ahead under pressure
