The Netherlands have announced a strong and experienced squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka, welcoming back several familiar faces. The team sees the return of Roelof van der Merwe, Bas de Leede, Michael Levitt, and Zach Lion-Cachet, who missed the recent Bangladesh tour. Veteran allrounder Colin Ackermann also rejoins after last playing a T20I in November 2024, while Timm van der Gugten returns following his T20 Blast performance.

                        

Logan van Beek is back for the first time since the previous T20 World Cup, having played in New Zealand's Super Smash. The squad also includes Scott Edwards as captain, along with players like Noah Croes, Aryan Dutt, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Max O'Dowd, Paul van Meekeren, and Saqib Zulfiqar. These experienced players strengthen the Netherlands’ T20 World Cup lineup significantly.

Players such as Teja Nidamanuru, Tim Pringle, Vikramjit Singh, Cedric de Lange, Sikander Zulfiqar, Sebastiaan Braat, Daniel Doram, Shariz Ahmad, and Ryan Klein are missing from the squad this year. The Netherlands aim to build on their T20 World Cup experience, making their seventh appearance since their 2009 debut.

Placed in Group A, the Netherlands will face Pakistan, Namibia, the United States, and defending champions India. The Scott Edwards-led side will start their campaign against Pakistan on February 7 in Colombo. This lineup combines experience with recent form, aiming to challenge top teams in the tournament.
