Pakistan Squad has been officially announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the Bangladesh Test series, bringing major changes to leadership and coaching. The PCB has announced the red-ball coaching staff for the Bangladesh tour, naming former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team's head coach.

Squad Announcement and Schedule


The Pakistan Squad includes a 16-member lineup for the two-Test series against Bangladesh, beginning May 8 in Dhaka. Shan Masood will lead the side, while Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori are four uncapped players included in the Pakistan Squad. The opening Test will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from May 8 to 12, followed by the second Test in Sylhet from May 16 to 20.

Training Camps and Preparation


Five members of the Pakistan Squad Azan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan are currently part of the NCA red-ball camp in Lahore. The Pakistan Squad will regroup in Karachi for another camp starting April 27 before departing for Bangladesh on May 2. Players involved in PSL will join later depending on their team progress.

Coaching Staff and Experience


The Pakistan Squad will be guided by Sarfaraz Ahmed, who previously led Pakistan to ICC titles in 2006 and 2017. Former cricketers Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul join the Pakistan Squad as batting and bowling coaches.
