Pro10 Malaysia Cricket Tournament Postponed Until After T20 World Cup 2026
The Pro10 Malaysia cricket tournament, originally scheduled at Bayuemas Oval, Selangor from January 30 to February 2, has been postponed due to logistical challenges, as reported by 8jjcricket. Organizers have confirmed that new dates will be announced following the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup, set from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. The rescheduled tournament will also see an expansion, increasing team participation from three to four.

Backed by former India cricketer and coach Ravi Shastri, with Sir Vivian Richards as brand ambassador, the tournament enjoys strong support from the Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA). The MCA affirmed that all stakeholders, including players, match officials, and organizers, are aligned with the postponement to ensure a successful event.

The tournament promises top Malaysian players exposure to international talent and valuable experience for other leagues. Organizers aim to raise the standard of cricket in the region and provide opportunities for emerging talent to compete against global players.

With the T20 World Cup taking precedence in early February and March, Pro10 Malaysia’s organizers are focusing on finalizing logistics and maximizing participation. Fans can expect a more competitive and exciting tournament once fresh dates are announced. While the postponement is a temporary setback, aligning the event with the post-World Cup schedule ensures higher quality participation and greater opportunities for players and spectators alike.
