After opting to bowl first, Bengal restricted Andhra to 295 before producing a massive 629 in their first innings in the Ranji Trophy clash. Sudip Kumar Gharami was the standout performer, smashing a marathon 299 off 596 balls. He struck 31 fours and six sixes, narrowly missing a triple century in this memorable Ranji Trophy knock.

Sumanta Gupta contributed 81, while Shakir Habib Gandhi fell five runs short of a hundred, further strengthening Bengal’s position in the Ranji Trophy encounter.
