RCB approach remains aggressive despite the defending champions suffering their second consecutive defeat in IPL 2026. Captain Rajat Patidar made it clear that the RCB approach this season is not about defending last year’s title but about continuing fearless cricket.                        

Speaking after the loss to Lucknow Super Giants, Patidar explained that the RCB approach focuses on attacking gameplay rather than cautious cricket. He stressed that the franchise sees IPL 2026 as a completely new challenge and believes the current RCB approach can still deliver another title-winning campaign.

The RCB approach was tested heavily by Mitchell Marsh, whose explosive century put Bengaluru’s bowlers under pressure early in the innings. Patidar admitted the Australian batter shifted momentum quickly, though he praised the way the bowlers recovered later. Even with the defeat, the RCB approach remained positive throughout the contest.

Despite consecutive losses, the RCB approach has kept the team among the strongest playoff contenders in IPL 2026. Patidar believes the side was only a few boundaries away from victory and insisted the RCB approach will continue to focus on fearless batting and aggressive intent in upcoming matches.
