Narendra Modi congratulated the India national cricket team after their emphatic triumph in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, praising the squad’s determination and unity following a dominant performance in the final.
India defeated the New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to secure their third T20 World Cup title. The victory also ensured India successfully defended the trophy and became the first team to win consecutive men’s T20 World Cups.

A late flourish from Shivam Dube, who smashed an unbeaten 26 from eight balls, lifted India to a formidable total of 255 for five, the highest score ever recorded in a T20 World Cup final.
