However, Kohli also admitted that if he is made to constantly prove his worth despite his preparation and dedication, then that environment is not meant for him.

The former India captain said he continues to train with full commitment and approaches every match as if it could be the last game of his career. He also stressed his willingness to give maximum effort while fielding and running between the wickets in ODI cricket.

Virat Kohli is currently focusing only on ODI cricket after retiring from T20 Internationals following India’s T20 World Cup triumph in 2024. He also stepped away from Test cricket before the England tour after struggling for consistency in the longest format over the past year.
